“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
(Prov. 13:12 NIV)
“Be joyful in hope. . .”
(Romans 12:12 NIV)
The Seed of Expectation is the commitment to exciting each other’s hearts with hope for the future. We must sow the Seed of Expectation and Excitement to meet the need for hope and joy. We sow the seed of Expectation when we make and keep life-giving promises to each other. Expectation creates excitement. Sow eros (sexual excitement) abundantly. Sow joy and laughter: the couple that laughs together stays together. Keep your spouse expecting some new blessing. Give gifts. Make Christmas come more than once per year. Create traditions and routines that each of you will look forward to with great expectations such as Sunday walks and Friday night dates. The list is endless and not necessarily expensive.
