“If any man be in Christ, he has become a new creation. Old things are passed away. All things have become new.” 2Cor. 5:12
The flesh is the sin that remains in us. It’s the source of all of the automatic negative thoughts, and destructive emotions and habits within each of us. This is the inner ugliness that we see in ourselves and our loved ones. But we are renewed in Christ, and though Sin remains, we don’t have to follow its dictates. Let’s see each other as God sees us—as new creations—filled with grace, love, power, and mercy. Let’s stop seeing and treating each other from the perspective of Sinfulness. See the new in yourself and in your loved ones; stop reacting to the old; and stop fighting the flesh with the flesh. For if you fight the flesh with the flesh, only the flesh can win. But if you fight the flesh with the Spirit, the love of God will fill your hearts and your homes.
