“If any man be in Christ, he has become a new creation: old things are passed away; all things are become new.”2 Cor. 5:17
Do you want to keep renewing your marriage or live in the same old same old?
Our marriages and our lives hinge upon this crucial decision that we make every hour of every day: the choice to put on either the living new man in Christ or the dead old man in the flesh.
We can either be the men that we are in Christ, or the men that we were in the Flesh. We can either put on the character of the Christ like new man or the character of the crucified old man. We can either let the Spirit reign over our thoughts and actions or we can let the flesh reign over our thoughts or actions. We can live from the root of Christ and the truth of the new men that he has made us and is making us, or we can die by dwelling in the rebellious nature of the flesh. We can be who we are in Christ or what we were in Sin.
So we must take time to study and recognize the patterns and habits of the sinful man that we once were and are capable of being again, and we must come to know the character and qualities of the new man that we are and are capable of being more and more forever.
